UBC 2009 Review: BBoy Lost Mind - Syko Breakers(floortactics.com post)
This was just posted in the comments section of my last post so i just wanted to show some people how much some ppl can sacrifice for bboying. Much props to syko breakers for representing and coming so far to jam with us all. I know a lot of other bboys there sacrificed like this and maybe some more. This sort of stuff makes me feel like we can make a difference together so here it is for all the lazy bboys, RECOGNISE:
“i never regret dat i dont get any prize…i had sacrifice a lot of things to get there..a reason why i get there just 1…i am malaysian bboy and i want to represent my crew and representing pahang…its not an easy things to get there…my man,bboy dutchman were studying at terengganu,bboy lazy were studying at pahang and me myself studying at kelantan…we just have 1 day to make all the routines..a day before battle,we training very hard till 4 am and get awake at 7…we just sleep at my friend’s shop…[not at hotel or home like others]…we start our morning with 3kilometre-walk to shell petrol station 2 get our bath…[theres no water at our frens place...]and we take a bus nearby…we dont know if it is a right bus because it only write “melaka”..then we arrive at MC and we take another bus to MP…after we burn the floor a bit,we just see other bboys in cypherz and battling…Our crew name were called,we get on the floor,and surprising we have to battle our friends crew[funky styler]…we throw our move,hopes that we will get to the next round…and we win the battle…then,we get our breakfast at 3pm…[we doesnt eat anything since that morning...we get back to our place,make a new routine for tomorrow battle....next day,we do the same thing as yesterday and go to that battle with skill,move,experience we have and a bit hopes of luck...we battle with rythm squad,a well known crew,i think..[people keep screaming at them since the battle start]…we win and we r so happy that we get to the next round…i know battle after this will be the last..[all of them have great style and they r sick!..]…we lose the battle to Giller Battle Crew…[i hate "Let The Sunshine In" song...always lose to Giller Battle with this song...haha]..the journey to get home begins…I take an 8.30 pm bus,so i will arrived at UiTM machang,kelantan at 8.30 am the next day..[12 hours journey,104rm for bus tickets]..After i had arrived,i go straigt to class..[at kelantan,we have class on Sunday]..our lecturer scolded me,but my frens just smile at me because they know why im late…i had spent about 500rm for this battle…i know that there are no prize money but im still in the battle…and im so proud that we r in top-8…TQ for all that had help me…Support Malaysian bboy scenes,keep fresh,keep movin…Peace out
